Classic Builders in exceptionally proud to have joined a select group of guests and media representatives to celebrate the opening of one its latest community projects – Manadon Community Sports Hub.

Built over a 44-week period, the community sports hub building is the newest addition to the highly-respected Argyle Community Trust. Formally opened in Summer 2019 by Deputy Council Leader Peter Smith and Captain David Tall, the facility will play host to up to 30,000 people per year.

The opening ceremony welcomed a number of special guests, council representatives, funding officials, media representatives and business leaders – all to celebrate the formal opening of the important and eagerly awaited community hub.

The building benefits from a number of facilities such as modern office spaces, an educational suite, sleek changing rooms, function rooms and a strategy room. Outside the building boasts multiple sport grass pitches, synthetic surface pitches, cricket practice wickets, vast parking facilities and additional infrastructure provisions for future expansion ideas. The hub is a vital asset for Plymouth and the surrounding communities. Its significance has gained a variety of interest including that of former England Goalkeeper Peter Shilton; who attended the opening ceremony as a guest of honour.

Classic Builders Business Development Manager, Lewis Tolputt, had this to add –

“It’s an honour to celebrate the opening of such an anticipated project alongside so many important local people and iconic sporting greats.  We’re incredibly proud to have built such an important building for Argyle Community trust. Our company has delivered many projects in Plymouth but knowing we have contributed to providing access to high-quality sporting facilities for up to 30,000 people per year is an incredible privilege.”

Classic Builders would like to thank everyone involved and wish all those using the building many happy years of enjoyment.
