Luke joined Classic Builder’s Cornish team as a Level 3 carpenter for a week’s work experience from Truro and Penwith College. Introduced to the trade by his father, Luke later consolidated his choice to pursue carpentry upon completing a Multi Skills Course. Enjoying the challenges that carpentry can present, Luke has now successfully completed his Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Diploma and Level 3 Site Carpentry Diploma.
I decided to take the placement with Classic Builders as they were highly recommended
Luke was mentored by Site Manager Glenn Dorr and guided by his team. Luke had the opportunity to assist on numerous jobs which included stud walling, boarding, battening, fitting noggins into the RSJ’s. Luke also learnt essential skills of setting out and how to read plans.
Luke is keen to learn and would be a great asset for any construction company
