Project Description;
Classic Builders was appointed to undertake extensive new build and refurbishment works at the popular Snows Mercedes Group Van Centre in Exeter.
The project included creating a new workshop area, refurbishing existing public areas and upgrading facilities. Quality of finish was high on the client’s requirements and was a key deciding factor in appointing Classic Builders over its competitors.
The existing building required preparing to ensure the new extension would integrate with existing services, structures and garage equipment. The workshop and service area extension adopted a methodical and appropriately engineered solution to deliver the desired outcome. Pad foundations, a ground bearing slab, a robust structural steel frame and enclosed composite wall and roof panels all ensure the extension provides its users with a safe, appropriate and highly-efficient commercial space.
In addition to the main superstructure; new vehicle hoists, ramps and service doors were installed to maximise the workshop’s capabilities. The public showroom underwent an extensive refurbishment including all new mechanical and electrical works, new partitions, new ceilings, decoration and floor finishes.
Externally, the garage had a major refurbishment with new cladding, signage and entrance features. The finished result is a beautiful, modern and sophisticated showroom for Mercedes Benz customers in Exeter to enjoy.
