As part of Classic Builders’ continued business development programme, the company has embarked on obtaining triple ISO (International Standards Organisation) compliance and certification.
The triple standard encapsulates an unparalleled level of commitment to Quality Management, Environmental Management and Health and Safety Management.
More commonly found amongst PLC companies, ISO compliance with this level of international operating standard is a clear demonstration of a company’s commitment to continual excellence.
The three ISO compliance standards are explained in greater detail below –
ISO 9001 sets out the criteria and continued operating standard for a robust and auditable quality management system. It is the core standard for delivering a customer centred service approach and can be used by any organisation (large or small) regardless of its field of activity. The 9001 standard is so widely respected that Classic Builders joins just over one million companies and organisations in the world operating to this level.
ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for an effective and accountable Environmental Management System. It maps out a framework that a company or organization can follow enabling the business to monitor, develop and continually improve its operations from. With almost 60% of all waste in the United Kingdom being generated from construction related activities, contractors complying with ISO 14001 certification are at the forefront of positive environmental accountability.
ISO 45001 builds on the success of earlier international standards in Health and Safety. The current iteration (45001) is the newest and highest of the standard formats – prioritising and supporting a culture of unparalleled health and safety operating standards. As a private business employing the largest number industry Apprentices and Tradespople in Devon and Cornwall, safeguarding the health and wellbeing of its staff has been, and always will be, at the forefront of Classic Builders’ operations.
Compliance with and certification for the three standards can take up to six months to obtain (depending on the sophistication of pre-existing company operating standards).
