Established in 1999, the Young Builder Of The Year Awards (hosted by Youthbuild UK) celebrate the achievements of young people, who despite having to overcome a range of barriers have succeeded in training for and or gaining employment in the construction industry. In September this year, the Rt. Hon John Hayes (former Minister of State For Further Education, Skills & Life Longlearning) joined Youthbuild UK as its President. He is widely acknowledged for his enthusiasm for young people pursing alternative forms of training and education; stating “too often people are only recognised for their academic achievements’.”
James joined 150 guests at the recent ceremony in London where he was presented with his highly-commended award before accompanying fellow finalists for an exclusive trip on the renowned Coca-Cola London Eye. Adam Brimacombe, Director of Classic Builders had this to say about James’ and his recent success, “The Classic Builders’ family is extremely proud of James and his outstanding achievements. Fully committed to embracing diversity, all of Classic Builders’ staff provided James with the support and encouragement to achieve his true potential. This highly commended award reflects James’ commitment, professionalism and desire to succeed. On behalf of Classic Builders; I would like to wish our sincere congratulations to James and his family.”
